Home Infusion

Infusion therapy is known as IV therapy — involves administering medications intravenously. This is done by inserting a needle or catheter directly into the patient’s arm or a subcutaneous port; usually in the patient’s chest. It allows for much more efficient treatment of acute and chronic illnesses since it delivers medicine, antibiotics, and/or hydration directly into the bloodstream versus oral medication therapy.

Compounding

A compounded medication is a drug that is specifically mixed and prepared just for you, based on a prescription from your doctor. This may be because the exact dosage is not commercially available, an added flavor is needed to make it more palatable for children, or to adjust the medication from commercially available pill/capsule to liquid or topical because a patient can’t swallow.

Bleeding Disorders

Hemophilia is a rare disorder in which your blood doesn’t clot normally because it lacks sufficient blood-clotting proteins (clotting factors). If you have hemophilia, you may bleed for a longer time after an injury than you would if your blood clotted normally. Our pharmacy provides medication and nursing services to assist you to care for your unique health needs for this disorder.
